FORMAL CHINA.

I'll be the first to admit that we haven't used our wedding china... and we'll be married five years in January.  Yes, there are those times where I just get it out to cuddle with it a bit -- but we haven't in fact USED it.  I just love it too much to see it used.  I worry that if I invite friends over for a dinner party and use my wedding china, I'll wither up into a tiny ball watching them enjoy their food while all the while knifing and forking away at these beautiful possessions. Clearly... it's a problem.

How fun is this dinner plate set up though??  I love how it's unexpected and gives me so many ideas.  In order to overcome my irrational type-A wedding china psychobabble, I'm thinking of investing in a couple of fun fine china patterns that I can use at dinner parties (while my lavish unused wedding pattern looks down at us from the china cabinet where it belongs).

I'm eyeing this Kate Spade pattern for the black + white stripes.  Oh, and this blue pattern with the pearls is so quirky.  Loving it.  And, this blue+white pattern and this pink charger plate are perfection.  And let's talk about how unexpected these tea cups are mixed with this heart plate.  I could go on and on... but I won't.  Because it's Tuesday which means you're already bored, and most of you probably don't share my china passion which means this post ain't helping out your sitch.  Toodles!!
