Rodan+Fields mask via Lauren Butler (c/o) // SkinMedica complex //
Dr. Hauschka rosebud day cream // Smith's balm //
Kate Somerville daily cleanser // Bobbi Brown moisturizer

I don't know about you but these frigid winter temps are the worst for my skin.  I find myself constantly trying to fight dry skin, discoloration, and red spots.  Over the past year, I've done tons of research and have finally found a skincare regime that works for my skin.  I thought I'd share a few of my favorites with you in hopes that it will help those of you with the same issues!

Nighttime Routine:

I start every night by applying Rodan+Fields Redefine Daily Cleansing Mask.  I was hesitant to jump on the R+F bandwagon at first because it just seemed like everyone was doing it.  I tend to run the opposite way from "trends" {talking to you, birkenstocks}, but I finally gave in on this mask when one of my girlfriends started selling it.  And, I get it.  This stuff is legit.  It's made such a difference to my skin.  Its non-drying cleansing mask draws out the impurities in my skin without drying it out.  I've really noticed a shrinking in my pores and a smoothness to the redness in my skin -- giving it a bit of a glow.  I {almost} can go without makeup... a rare move for me.  Um... and did I mention there's a 60 day, empty bottle, money-back guarantee.  Basically, it's a win-win.

After applying the cleansing mask for 2 minutes, I wash it off with warm water.  Three times a week, I then apply my SkinMedica Retinol Complex .25.  I am obsessed with this cream.  I originally tried a prescribed retinol cream but it was extremely too harsh on my face.  I could hardly put on my makeup because my face was peeling so bad.  I tried it for 2 months and gave up.  Defeated.  Then, I heard great things about the SkinMedica Retinol Complex.  It saved me.  The complex has absolutely helped to even out my skin tone -- and it's supposed to be the best anti-aging cream out there.  I had slight dryness at first but it only lasted a week or so -- not bad for a retinol cream.  And, the best part?  You don't need a prescription.

On the days that I'm not applying my retinol complex, I apply Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream.  It's hands down the best moisturizer that I've ever used.  I first heard about it from Jennifer Lopez when she was on WWHL.  Andy Cohen asked JLo for her biggest beauty advice and she pointed to this cream.  If JLo swears by it, I can too.  The cream smells like roses and makes me feel like I'm getting a mini-facial every time I use it.  Oh, and one more fun tidbit... you can buy it at Whole Foods while you're grocery shopping.  So easy!

Lastly, I apply Smith's Rosebud Salve.  It's the yummiest.  It also smells like roses and keeps my lips soft and prevents them cracking.  {Apparently, I love roses... who knew?!}

Daytime Routine:

My morning routine is much quicker.  I don't have as much time in the mornings and really just want a soft cleanse before putting on my makeup and running out the door.  Every morning, I rinse my face with Kate Somerville Gentle Daily Wash.  It is what its name says: a gentle wash.  I used to go to Kate Somerville for facials when we lived in LA so this helps me get my fix now that we've moved.  My only other step in the morning is to apply my go-to product: Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base.  This Bobbi Brown moisturizer works perfectly under my makeup -- providing a moisture to my skin without making me greasy. Xx.
