CHARLESTON

top: american apparel // skirt: shabby apple (c/o) // pumps: christian louboutin (love these)

Hi guys!  The boy and I spent last weekend in Charleston celebrating my 30th birthday.  I had never been to Charleston before so what better place to spend a long weekend.  Between spending some time on the beach on Kiawah Island to riding a horse-drawn carriage around the candy colored downtown -- I am still smiling from ear to ear at the wonderful weekend we had.  The only thing that could make it better?  This skirt.  The moment that I laid eyes on it -- I knew it was meant to be worn to my birthday dinner.

Stay:

Kiawah Resort // I absolutely loved this hotel because it had yummy restaurants with outdoor seating and sits perched on a secluded beach.  While the boy golfed, I hit up the spa & it did not disappoint!

Planter's Inn //  Hands down... the most charming hotel ever.  It was within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the Battery.  And, it had my favorite restaurant from the entire trip -- Peninsula Grill.

See & Shop:

Hampden Clothing // I didn't get to spend enough time in this shop.  It really has the best selection of dresses, shoes, and accessories from Carven to Lemlem.  I can't wait to get back to Charleston just to stop back in!

Carriage Tour // We decided last minute to do a carriage tour on our last afternoon in Charleston -- and I'm so glad we did!  It was the perfect way to see and learn about the historic downtown and its charming houses.

Hall's Chophouse // Funny story.  The owner of this ahMazing steakhouse went to school where the boy and I did our undergrad.  We had the best time talking to him -- along with the countless rounds of champagne he sent to our table.  Oh, and my boy Craig from Southern Charm walked in... so, there's that.

Hominy Grill // We stopped in for a biscuit & a coffee.  Loved every. single. bite.

Rooftop Bar // On a whim, we walked over to the Rooftop Bar at Market Pavilion Hotel to grab a drink.  I'd never had a strawberry mojito -- and now it could quite possibly be my new favorite drink.
